At Everheart Counseling, our mission is to help couples build strong, lasting relationships rooted in connection, understanding, and trust. We specialize in premarital and early marriage counseling, equipping couples with practical tools, emotional insight, and communication skills that set the foundation for a healthy future together. We also support families and individuals as they navigate life’s challenges, always with compassion, curiosity, and care at the heart of our work.
I’m Batsheva Blackston, a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and the founder of Everheart Counseling. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychotherapy in England, where I completed my initial clinical training, and I am now continuing my licensure journey in the United States. I bring over two years of clinical experience, along with several years as a professional matchmaker, and a deep commitment to helping individuals and couples build strong, healthy, and lasting relationships. I am also a certified relationship and dating coach, which allows me to support clients not only in healing and personal growth, but in forming meaningful, fulfilling connections.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years working as a shadchan, guiding couples through the early stages of their relationships. Through this work, I witnessed firsthand both the beauty and the challenges of transitioning into marriage. Marriage is a significant life shift, and having the right tools, insight, and support early on can make a profound difference. I believe that intentional preparation and thoughtful guidance help couples feel more connected, resilient, and confident, while also reducing the likelihood of future distress or disconnection.
On a personal level, I have been married for over ten years and am a parent to four children. I understand the realities of partnership, growth, and change—not only professionally, but personally as well. Originally from England, I have lived in the United States for the past seven years and enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families from all backgrounds.

I offer couples therapy using a collaborative, supportive, and skills-based approach. I work to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where couples feel comfortable exploring concerns and building insight together. My therapy style balances emotional exploration with practical tools that couples can apply in everyday life.
My approach to marriage counseling is integrative, drawing from several methods such as Gottman Method, Person-centered, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This allows us to focus on improving communication, strengthening emotional connection, managing conflict, and navigating relationship transitions such as engagement and early marriage. Sessions are conversational and structured enough to support progress while remaining flexible and personalized.
I specialize in working with engaged couples and newly married couples who want to build a strong, healthy marriage. My goal is to help couples develop the skills, confidence, and understanding needed for long-term relationship success.

Everheart Counseling offers premarital counseling and couples therapy for engaged and married couples in South Florida and via telehealth.
